Talks on setting up new structures for the management of inland fisheries are ongoing. The current Central and Regional Fisheries Boards will be abolished. It would appear that the new structures may be similar but with less board members and maybe cover different areas.
I hope that whatever the Minister does put in place will be properly funded and staffed to tackle the current major problems confronting fish stocks
