Overview

Lough Rynn is some three miles long, the lake is shallow with depths varying between two and five feet, you will find that the bays and the extreme ends of the lough are the shallowest.
Don't let the obvious lack of depth put you off, I believe that Lough Rynn contains more fish per acre than any other lake in the country and always produces no matter what the weather conditions are, It doesn't matter which area you choose to fish, you should always catch.
Although lacking quantities of large fish it does contain a very large head of Roach and Rudd up to three quarters of a pound, Hybrids and Skimmers up to a pound and a half, larger bream in the three pound plus bracket are difficult to locate but Tench to three pounds plus are can be caught off of most of the pegs.

Methods

Either waggler or feeder work well so choose the method that suits you best and that you are most comfortable with, I always fish the float because, as more fish move into your swim, they start to take on the drop.

Baits

All baits work, just remember that regular and constant feeding will keep the fish coming, there is no need to pre-bait your chosen location.

Access

West Bank.. Off the Mohill - Tooman Road has several sign posted access points with limited bank or stand fishing.
The caravan and car park has two bays that can be fished from the bank.
East Bank.. The Castle Gardens are a day ticket stretch which has no obvious advantages. The "Sheep Walk" stretch has around thirty pegs on a very good bank and this is free fishing!.
