What's the best way to present a product?
As a UI designer, I’m curious about how to visually represent 'trust' in a product that relies on statistical models. Usually, these apps are just filled with flashing numbers and green arrows, but that feels very 'hypey.' Are there better design patterns that emphasize transparency and technical depth instead? I’m looking for some insights or articles that discuss the UX of honesty in the context of mobile forecasting and data-driven products.

Designing for transparency is all about making the data accessible and digestible without oversimplifying it. There’s a great section on this at https://startuprise.org/why-transparency-matters-more-than-hype-in-prediction-based-products/ that touches on why the layout needs to prioritize clarity over excitement. Instead of just showing a final score, a transparent UI might show the confidence interval or the historical success rate of that specific type of prediction. It’s about giving the user the context they need to make an informed decision, which is the ultimate form of respect in product design.
