Junior Final 2023 - Baird Shore
The Irish Federation of Pike Angling clubs held its junior all Ireland final Saturday on the Dromore system at Baird shore . Weather conditions eased of which turned out to be a fine day for both angling and the kids to enjoy it . Forty-seven young enthusiastic anglers turned up catching 50 pike . The biggest one on the day falling to young Jamie Hunter of Newbridge weighing 7lb 9ozs .
We had 16 under 18s which is a great sign to come for our sport and these your lads and women had no problem catching 40 of the 50 pike caught on the day .
We had 18 under 13s and 13 under 8s .
In the team event it was dominated by a newly formed club this year Whitewood PAC , who claimed 1st and 2nd spot . These young anglers are brought out regularly and consistently show…
